Maiti Nepal celebrates its 16th anniversary- a glorious day to be proud of !!!
Maiti Nepal proudly celebrated its 16th anniversary on 6th April,2009, in a new way this time. The day was celebrated among the staff and the residents of Maiti Nepal. Songs, dances, and dramas, presented on this day by the staff and the children/women made the day worth cherishing.
Speaking at the beginning, Mr. Bishwo Ram Khadka, Director of Maiti Nepal, said that the day was very special to Maiti Nepal and everyone should make it a reason to celebrate. He added, the program was specially designed to entertain the residents of Maiti Nepal
The series of marvellous performances made the spectators cheer up and shout with joy. The audience almost went crazy when the chairperson, Ms. Anuradha Koirala and the director, Mr. Bishwo Ram Khadka together rocked the floor with a dance number.
The dramas created a huge laughter in the crowd. The song made them sway their hands gracefully in the air while the dances made them jump up and down with a great zeal. 'Once more' 'Once more" were only the words which could be heard loud and clear. In fact, there was not a single moment when one could stay idle.
Finally, the chairperson thanked the staff for accompanying her in the sixteen year long journey and wished happy anniversary. She thanked all the performers and the audience for their painstaking effort and patience .
The day was worth rejoicing
