  • Maiti Nepal celebrates its 15th annual day - 2008-04-07
    Maiti Nepal celebrated its annual day on 6th April 2008 on the occasion of completion of its 15 years of establishment. Respected chairperson of Maiti Ms. Anuradha Koirala graced the ceremony with her presence. On the occasion, she revealed the challenges and hardships that the organisation had faced as well as the success accomplished in the past 15 years.She concluded her speech praising the challenging job done by the Border Surveillance Team at Indo Nepal border.

    On the occasion, the chairperson and the director of Maiti Nepal jointly gave away the heroic award to Sumitra Aryal for her daring duty as a border guard in the Indo Nepal border. Three other border guards- Kamala K.C., Phulmaya Tamang and Sanu Lama were also honoured as Best Border Surveillance Staff for their challenging job. The selection was done by voting the names of best workers by the staff of field offices. Sumitra Aryal and Kamala K.C. ,while speaking on behalf of the honoured said that they were further encouraged and would always work harder despite of the risk of life.

    Finally ,Director of Maiti, Mr. Bishwo Ram Khadka wished happy anniversary to all. He said Maiti has become a big name against trafficking in the past 15 years. He encouraged all the staffs to contribute even more in the coming days and also gave thanks to all the casts and crew of the entertaining cultural show.
