- The UNWO NEPAL Certificate of Appreciation to Anuradha Koirala - 2008-03-27
UNWO (United Nations Women's Organisation) is the worldwide organisation of United Nations for women. UNWO Nepal advocates for the right of proportionate involvement of women in the development process and appreciates those who have contributed in women empowerment and protection of rights of children and women.<br /><br />The UNWO Nepal has been awarding women since three years. Every year the UNWO members select the recipients through extensive research and survey. This year it did the honours to four personalities under four different issues - trafficking ,leprosy, down syndrome and physical challenges.The award ceremony was organised on the issue of 98th international women's day.<br /><br />According to UNWO Nepal, this year, the certificate of appreciation is conferred to Ms. Anuradha Koirala in recognition of her outstanding contribution in promoting the cause of women's and children development in the field of social development in Nepal.<br /><br />A cash reward of 30,000 rupees was awarded along with the letter of appreciation.</font></span></p>
