- Maiti Nepal blissfully celebrates Hospice anniversary !!! - 2010-01-24
Every year 20th of January brings in special fragrance for Maiti Nepal. This is because the anniversary of Maiti Nepal's hospice at Gokarna falls on the day. The hospice is named after Sonja Kill as "Sonja Kill Memorial Hospice".The day is yet more important as it is the birth anniversary of late Sonja Kill on whose name Sonja kill foundation has been established.
To mark the day with valued importance, a brief programme was organized at the hospice. Children, women and staff at the hospice observed the day with utter importance. in the presence of Mr. Bishwo Khadka, the director of Maiti Nepal. The other staff from the head office were present on the occasion.The residents of the hospice presented beautiful songs, dances and interesting drama which made the atmosphere on the hospice amusing and blissful. Women of the hospice participated in the interesting game shows.
The director gave away the prizes to the winner. Speaking on the occassion, he stressed on maintaining congenial and smooth behavioral environment in the hospice. He said the positive behavior practiced by the residents can transform the hospice not merely into a home but into a safe heaven. Finally he concluded, that late Sonja Kill shall always be remembered in this land for the unique and sacred contribution made in her name.
