Famous Bollywood playback singer Sunidhi Chauhan visited Maiti Nepal on 5th September 2009. Children and girls staying at Maiti Nepal were overjoyed to have the singer at their home.
Sunidhi Chauhan performed some of her famous numbers like ?bidi jalai le?, ?fanaa? ?sajanaji vaari vaari?, ?crazy kiya re?. The children and women residing in Maiti Nepal were highly amused and couldn?t help dancing and swaying with her.
She also visited the shelter home and observed the girls and women staying there. She had an intimate interaction with the residents of the home.
She also listened some of the specific case studies of the trafficked survivors residing in Maiti Nepal.
Sunidhi casted a lasting impression even in her short visit to Maiti Nepal. She had been in Nepal on a charity musical tour organized by MTV EXIT and partnered by NGOs like Maiti Nepal and ABC Nepal.
Sunidhi gave some suggestions to the girls and women in Maiti Nepal and expressed in her views, ?forget about your past, what happened to you, and only concentrate on your present and future to come.
