- Students of Maiti Nepal come out with flying colours !!! - 2009-06-30
Students of Maiti Nepal who appeared in the SLC examination of 2008, emerged triumphant with praiseworthy results. Out of the eleven students, two secured distinction, five secured first division and four secured second division marks.
All the successful students were officially congratulated in a special programme organized in Maiti Nepal .
Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Anuradha Koirala, chairperson of Maiti Nepal, said that the result was quite good and everybody should take inspiration from the encouraging performance of the students.
Similarly, Mr. Bisworam Khadka, director of Maiti Nepal said, SLC exam is considered to be the iron gate for the students. The students who have crossed the gate successfully deserve high appreciation.
At present, about 300 students who belong to underprivileged family and unfavourable socioeconomic background are staying and studying in Maiti Nepal.
