Ramila Khatri of Maiti Nepal, a survivor of human trafficking, becomes one of the finalists for "Secretary of State's Women of Courage Award" for the year 2009.
The United States Department of State offered her a certificate duly signed by the U.S. Ambassador to Nepal Nancy J. Powell on 16th April, 2009. Ramila Khatri was recognized in honour of her courage and leadership in advocating for women's rights and advancement.
