- Maiti Nepal Organized survivors' marriage ceremony - 2007-09-06
In Maiti Nepal we believe that marriage is also a part of our rehabilitation program since our girls / women are getting socially accepted.
On 15 January 2005, Maiti Nepal organized a grand marriage ceremony of three of our girls who were residing at Maiti Nepal’s Women Rehabilitation Home for the past 3 -5 years and were trained on different life skill trainings.
After completion of such trainings they were employed in different business organizations. During their working tenure they chose their life partners. In order to fulfill their wishes Maiti Nepal made all necessary arrangements for their marriage and married them traditionally. About four hundred well wishers joined this significant ceremony.
Maiti Nepal is now going to provide them with marriage certificate and citizenship for their safe and secured life.
Maiti family wishes their happy conjugal life.
