At Maiti Nepal, residents are encouraged to excel in all fields be it academics, music, sports or enhancing ones skills by taking up various professional courses so that they could move ahead and become successful in their upcoming life.
Since January 2003, Maiti Nepal has been offering music and dance lessons to them as a part of the rehabilitation programme.
Owing to their sheer dedication and hard work, Maiti Nepal came up with the theme "Towards New Horizon.." to provide a platform for them to showcase their talents.

National Poet Madhav Prasad Ghimire released an album consisting of eight melodious songs of Prabha Bhetwal during the programme. Prabha also sang "Yesto hunda yati maja, Tyasto hunda kasto?" a song from her newly album which was written by the national poet.
The girls and women of Maiti Nepal performed various dances such as national, kauda, maruni. Nepali pop artists Sukmeet Gurung, Ram Krishna Dhakal and Nalina Chitrakar also kept the audience entertained with their newly released numbers. The programme came to an end with the performance of Lok Dohari artists and vote of thanks from Ms. Anuradha Koirala, Chairperson of Maiti Nepal.
