Gender equality, development and peace was the slogan of the 94th International Women’s Day celebrated this year.
Maiti Nepal contributed to the same by appreciating and honoring the endeavors by women towards self-reliance.
Maiti Nepal felicitated ten women tempo drivers by offering Dosalla (Shawl) on women’s day. They set an example challenging the age-old belief that women should be restricted only to domestic jobs. Ms. Chitralekha Yadav, deputy speaker of the house did the honors amidst a program organized by Maiti Nepal.
