Maiti Nepal’s child Sukumaya Magar has been selected to be a part of the jury that declares the World’s Children Prize. This prize is awarded annually to an organization that plays a pivotal role for the welfare of children. Maiti Nepal had been awarded the prize for 2002 that has ensured its representation on the jury every year. Sukumaya Magar is the second child to represent Maiti Nepal, Kalpana Gurung being the first last year. Sukumaya Gurung attended the function in Maryfred of Sweden, where the children’s jury cast the final vote on the selected organizations worldwide. Her Majesty the Queen Sylvia of Sweden will be handing over the prize established by Swedens’ World Organization related to children welfare.
